Accessing Footage: What Deep Sentinel Can Help With

Deep Sentinel provides customers with multiple ways to access their security footage, including the NVR, EWAP, and mobile app. Support is available for retrieving footage related to security events, investigations, and technical issues. However, requests unrelated to security—such as employee monitoring or operational audits—fall outside the scope of support and are no longer accommodated. While limited exceptions were made in the past, the policy now aligns strictly with our proactive security model. New self-service features (e.g., date/time filters and bulk downloads) are in development to enhance customer access without agent assistance.

Accessing Your Video Footage

At Deep Sentinel, our priority is keeping your property secure through real-time monitoring and rapid response to suspicious activity. While we’re happy to support footage retrieval related to security incidents, we want to clarify what’s currently available for video access and what falls outside of our scope.


How You Can Access Footage

Customers have three convenient ways to access and review footage on their own:

  1. NVR (Network Video Recorder) – If you purchased an NVR with your system, you can use it to search and play back video footage locally.
  2. EWAP (Event Web App Portal) – Provides access to video events recorded by your system.
  3. Deep Sentinel Mobile App – Easily view clips and system activity on the go.

These tools allow you to review activity, save clips, and track events without the need for agent intervention.


What We Provide Support For

Our team is here to assist with:

  • Security-related footage retrieval (e.g., break-ins, suspicious behavior)
  • Technical issues accessing footage via NVR, EWAP, or the app
  • Requests for law enforcement or insurance-related investigations


What We Cannot Support

We are unable to fulfill requests for footage unrelated to security, such as:

  • Employee time tracking or attendance verification
  • Operational audits or business reviews
These types of requests fall outside the scope of our proactive security model.


Self-Service Improvements Coming Soon

We’re actively working on enhancements that will make it even easier to:

  • Filter footage by date and time
  • Download multiple video clips at once
  • Access more historical data independently
