How The Dealer 5-Day Trial Works

When your Deep Sentinel system is installed by an authorized dealer or partner, your property starts with a 5-day trial. This lets your installer set up and test the system right away, without billing standing in the way of finishing the job.

When the trial starts and ends
  • The trial begins when your property is created and runs for 120 hours (5 days).

  • It applies to the property as a whole, not to each camera. If a camera is added during the trial, it joins the same window rather than starting a new one.

What happens when the trial ends
  • If there's no payment method on file when the trial ends:

    • Live guard monitoring pauses. Events from your cameras will no longer be sent to a Live Sentinel Guard.
    • Your cameras stay online and keep recording to your hub.
    • You'll receive an email with the subject "Action Required: Your Deep Sentinel Service Has Been Paused."
    • An Add Payment Card screen will appear in your app. "It stays up until you've added a card and purchased your licenses, so you'll need to complete this before using the rest of the app."
Restoring your service
  1. Open the Deep Sentinel app.
  2. On the Add Payment Card screen, enter the cardholder name and card details.
  3. Tap Add Card.
  4. On the Property Selection screen, tap Continue.
  5. On the Add Licenses screen, the correct number of licenses is already filled in for you. Tap Continue. If you plan to add more cameras later, you can increase the number here.

Your system needs one license per camera plus one for your hub. A property with two cameras needs three licenses.

  6. On the Add License Checkout screen, choose monthly or annual billing (annual is discounted). Check the boxes to accept the terms, then tap Continue
  7. On the Payment Method screen, confirm the correct card is selected, then tap Pay for Licenses.

Monitoring resumes right away, though it can take a couple of minutes to fully sync. You don't need to do anything else in the app.

If you check Mark the card as default payment method, that card will be used for all past and future license charges on your account.

Who bills you
  • Deep Sentinel bills you directly for your monitoring subscription. Your dealer installs and supports your system, but the subscription is between you and Deep Sentinel.

For partners
  • You aren't locked out when a trial expires.

  • You'll see a banner in your app letting you know monitoring is paused, and you'll receive the same expiration email your customer does.

  • Because there's no advance warning before the 5 days are up, let your customer know during the install that they'll need to add a payment method to keep monitoring active.
