Sentinel Now Guard on Demand
What to expect when using Sentinel Now Guard on Demand
Using Guard on Demand for Immediate Help
If something feels wrong, help is just a button press away. Guard on Demand lets you instantly connect with a live security guard who can view your cameras and take action, even during your business hours.
How It Works
When you press your Guard on Demand button, located anywhere, we treat it as an emergency. A guard will immediately begin monitoring your camera and follow these steps:
- Immediate Action: A guard sees your camera view within seconds, no waiting for AI detection.
- Quick Response: The guard attempts to contact your designated emergency contact immediately.
- Staying on the Scene: The guard will monitor your camera for up to 3 minutes while trying to reach someone before taking the next step.
- Escalation If Needed: If your emergency contact doesn’t answer after 3 calls, or if a crime is in progress, the guard will contact the police.
What to Expect
- A guard will begin watching your camera within about 10 seconds of your button press.
- We’ll stay with the situation for up to 3 minutes, actively monitoring and calling your contact(s).
- If no one can be reached or an emergency is happening, we’ll call 911 for a welfare check or to report the emergency.
If No One Is Visible on Camera
If the camera doesn’t show anyone:
- The guard will still try to reach your emergency contact.
- They may check your other cameras for activity.
- If no one is reached after 3 attempts, and no one appears, we’ll call 911 for a welfare check.
Reminders
- Guard on Demand is available to you during your business hours or anytime you feel unsafe.
- Please make sure your emergency contact information is up to date in your settings.
- The button should only be used for situations where you need immediate help.
