What is a Safe Word?
How and Why to Use a Safe Word with Deep Sentinel
What is a Safe Word?
A safe word is a word you choose that Deep Sentinel guards use for verification purposes. When guards use the Trust but Verify method with someone on your property, they may ask for this word if you have one set up in your account.
Is My Safe Word the Same as My Password?
No, your safe word is not your account password. Deep Sentinel guards do not have access to your account password. For security reasons, we strongly recommend choosing a safe word that is different from your password.
How Do I Update My Safe Word?
You can update your safe word anytime through the Deep Sentinel app:
-
Open the Deep Sentinel App.
-
Go to Settings > Safe Word.
-
Enter the word you select at the bottom.
You can change your safe word as frequently as you wish.
What If I No Longer Trust Someone Who Knows My Safe Word?
If you believe someone who knows your safe word should no longer have access, we strongly recommend changing it immediately. Follow the steps above to update your safe word at any time.
Keeping your safe word secure helps ensure the safety of your property and those on it. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to our support team.
