How do I test the Camera speakers and audio?
You and LiveSentinels can communicate via the camera. The camera includes a built-in microphone and a 104db speaker.
The primary function of 2-way audio is for security and guards' ability to engage with a person on the other end. If a LiveSentinel is actively engaged in crime prevention, the 2-way audio function of the Deep Sentinel app will be disabled.
Before performing the test
Ensure that the camera has a good signal strength (we recommend 3 bars or more)
Check your internet bandwidth - Internet Speed Test
- Do you have a minimum of 1.5 Mbps upload speed per camera?
- If you do, please continue.
- If you do not have adequate upload speed, please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
To test the audio and speakers on your camera:
In your Deep Sentinel App, Select Settings
Select, Device Manager
Select, Camera
Select Siren Test (you should hear sirens)
Select Speaker Test (you should hear what sounds like dogs barking)
If the audio test fails, please do the following:
Remove the camera from the mount, and bring it close to the Hub
- If it is connected directly to the home wiFi network, then bring it close to the modem or router
- If connected to a WiFi extender, then bring it close to the WiFi extender
Repeat steps above audio test from above
If the audio test fails, please do the following:
If it isn't already, bring the camera close to the Hub

Add re-add the camera (re-add to the hub and follow the prompts in your app
Repeat audio/speaker-test
