Protection Zone Best Practices

Default Protection Zones are established when a Camera is added to the system.  Initially they are rectangular, but they should be customized to each scene at setup and then adjusted as needed.  

• At initial setup, it is a good idea to keep the size of the Protection Zone small and expand if events occurring on your property are not being escalated to the LiveSentinel Center.
• Exclude public areas from the Protection Zone. Including such areas increases the amount of noise by growing the number of escalations and alerts to your mobile device.   
• Also try to exclude from the Protection Zone any plants, branches, flags and other objects that might move in the wind.
• Check each Protection Zone from time to time. It is a good idea to review after replacing a Camera battery because the angle may have shifted.
