Post-Install Checklist

For further reading please see "Deep Sentinel Camera Positioning Guide" which contains in depth guidance on Camera placement and setup.

Deep Sentinel Camera Positioning Guide

DONE Action

[ ]

Cameras are physically installed in a way that is mechanically sound, not easy to knock down or be moved by the wind.

[ ]

Hub internet test has been completed and is acceptable.

[ ]

Live view test: All cameras can perform a live view

[ ]

Hand signal test: All cameras have been triggered to ensure the videos go to the guards. Perform a hand signal test and verify that video and audio get to the guards appropriately

[ ]

Protection zone setup: All protection zones are set up for each camera.

[ ]

Customer billing is complete (if partner-billed, nothing to do, but if customer billed/remit, ensure credit card information is entered and verified)

[ ]

CRITICAL SECURITY TEST: TEST HIGHEST CONCERN SECURITY RISKS

Test Protection zone + motion detection: Walk into each camera in the direction of most concern (or hop the fence, etc.) to verify that each time this occurs, the event shows as verified in the app. Ensure to test the range of the camera in case an entry/location of concern is far away from the camera.

If protecting a large area (e.g., parking lot) test for blind spots in motion detection/ai detection.

[ ]

Ensure customers have been trained (see customer training checklist) and the customer-facing leave behind ("Welcome to Deep Sentinel" document) has been delivered to the customer.

[ ]  BUSINESS: Ensure that business hours are entered in the app. The app will only escalate to guards outside of business hours.
[ ]  Check night vision images the evening after install to verify range and quality of images. Additional solar motion-detection lights (https://smile.amazon.com/Aootek-lights-outdoor-Waterpro-Anglefor/dp/B077BFM2W5) may be needed to achieve maximal results.
[ ] Special requests (require approval from Deep Sentinel): If there is an area that should NEVER have ANY people (employees, contractors or otherwise) during any of the protection hours (think of a vault after-hours, or a secure elevator after hours) you can call customer care and request "Always Intervene" status.
Similarly if there is an area which is highly prone to crime (>1-2x/week) it can be labeled severe by customer care upon approval. Again contact customer care and make the request.

WIRELESS SPECIFIC CHECKS

DONE Action

[ ]

Hub is centrally located, and signal strength to all cameras is acceptable. See KB: Deep Sentinel Hub Positioning Guide

[ ]

Any cameras with less than acceptable signal strength have been tested on local WIFI or a range extender has been evaluated. Otherwise, customer has acknowledged that there may be more than usual signal loss (resulting in a lower level of security)

[ ]

Hub LED is solid green (online) unless in privacy mode.

[ ]

Spare battery is in hub and showing as charging or charged in the app under "Devices"

[ ]

POE SPECIFIC CHECKS

DONE Action
[ ]

Test Bullhorn speakers--ensure the audio volume is set correctly to be audible from a significant distance.

[ ]

To extend range of POE starlight cameras, consider extra lighting--motion-sensitive lights will trigger and enable the POE camera to motion trigger at further distances at night.
